Lauren began working at Movement Media in fall 2016. Her compassion for the collective well-being of future generations defines her motivation for mission-driven work. Her love of people, animals, and the natural world are constant inspirations.
Lauren began her communications career in independent radio in 2007 and has supported a broad range of social and environmental justice oriented projects. She has also provided communications and multimedia services for a diverse group of triple-bottom-line businesses, nonprofit organizations, public education programs, and political campaigns focused on community building, food security, water rights, drug policy reform, climate change, and other issues.
Prior to joining the Movement Media team, she worked as the Grassroots Event Coordinator for Hemp History Week, a nationwide education campaign of Vote Hemp and the Hemp Industries Association. Lauren’s current role as Communications Manager includes managing Dr. Bronner’s International PR strategy and presence, and supporting Fair World Project. She has a deep appreciation for the way food brings people together and is passionate about integrity in the food system with regards to organics, right-to-know labeling, farmworker rights, animal welfare, and regenerative agriculture.
Lauren enjoys all kinds of adventure, especially in nature; dancing, music and cinema; preparing therapeutic foods and plant-based remedies; and balances the seriousness of movement work by exploring the healing arts. She is also a certified Laughter Yogi and loves to see people smile.
